Simarco Welcomes IFB To The Family

During the last few years Simarco has made tremendous strides forward.

We have increased our workforce and, thanks to the help of our partners and clients, we have been able to grow the number of territories in which we operate and the volumes of goods which we carry.

 We have won the respect of our peers and clients – and received a number of awards for our combined efforts too.

As you know only too well, ours is an industry in which no operator can afford to rest on its laurels, however, and we have been keen to continue to make progress.

We are delighted, therefore, to be able to share with you the news of our latest advance.

Simarco has bought IFB Limited, a freight forwarder based in Stoke-on-Trent and operating mainly across the Midlands and the north of England.

It is a company which is roughly half the size of ours, both in terms of staff and turnover.

We have taken this step in order to provide us with an even more solid platform from which to plan for the future – in the UK and overseas.

For those not familiar with IFB, it is a company which has been trading since 1984 and has a very similar approach to Simarco in terms of its commitment to customer service and high standards of work.

Given that Simarco and IFB have independent, established and impressive reputations, we will continue to operate under the respective brands.

Being part of the same group, however, means that we can now draw on even more expertise in order to benefit our clients and everyone working within the new, bigger and better Simarco group.

I’m sure that you’ll join me in welcoming our new colleagues at IFB into the Simarco family.

This is just the latest phase of our company’s evolution and I’m sure that there will be many more developments in the years to come.
