
Simarco’s nominated Charity for the South East is Trust Links, an independent charity based in Essex, dedicated to enhancing mental health, well-being, and environmental sustainability.
Established in 2000, the organisation supports over 4,000 individuals annually across Southend, Rochford, Castle Point, Braintree, and Basildon.
Core Services and Projects:
- Growing Together: Therapeutic community gardens located in Westcliff-on-Sea, Shoeburyness, Rochford, Castle Point, Cressing Temple, and Basildon. These gardens offer a supportive environment for individuals to engage in gardening activities, fostering recovery and well-being.
- REACH Recovery College: Provides a variety of courses, workshops, and activities aimed at helping individuals understand and manage their mental health effectively.
- REACH Wellbeing Hub: Offers information, advice, guidance, and support for adults facing mental health challenges, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and assistance.
- Youth Links: A peer support group designed for secondary school-aged youth, offering activities such as cooking, crafts, and sports in a safe space to discuss feelings and promote mental well-being.
- Environmental Initiatives: Projects like Greening Basildon and Greening Southend engage local residents in community gardening and activities to enhance green spaces, promoting sustainable living and environmental awareness.
