Simarco On Top Of The World With Hard Rock Award
One of the UK’s leading independent freight and logistics firms is on top of the world after winning an award from the Hard Rock restaurant, hotel and casino chain.
Simarco has been named Hard Rock’s Retail Partner of the Year at the company’s global conference hosted in the Mexican resort of Cancun.
Warehousing and Distribution Director Barry Spencer collected the prize from Hard Rock’s President and CEO Hamish Dodds and its Cultural Attache Rita Gilligan MBE.
The award capped a remarkable 12 months for Simarco which succeeded in moving more than 10 million product items in its role as Hard Rock’s UK and European distribution partner.
Mr Spencer said it amounted to ‘exceptional recognition’ of the efforts mounted by the Essex-based business.
‘To be chosen to partner with one of the world’s most famous brands might be achievement enough for some but to be named as the best among all of Hard Rock’s retail and logistics suppliers is truly outstanding.
‘We regard ourselves as quite literally delivering excellence to all our clients. When any one of them congratulates us for a job well done – especially one as well-known as Hard Rock, it makes our work all the more worthwhile.’
Simarco has worked with Hard Rock for the past dozen years, managing imports, stock and order control. In short, it handles every item of Hard Rock merchandise sold and every item of equipment and apparel used in the chain’s premises across 12 different countries.
