Celebrating National Receptionist Day at Simarco International

Today, we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on one of the friendly faces who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at Simarco International Ltd – Sheila Rimes!

With her one-year anniversary on May 12th, it’s the perfect time to celebrate her journey, her impact, and the energy she brings to reception every single day.

Originally from Brazil, she made the move to England in 2022, and what a journey it’s been! A qualified Veterinarian by trade, she chose to step away from clinical practice and carve a new path focused on balance and wellbeing. From working front-of-house in social security and law offices, to catering, to running her own pet shop her career has been nothing short of adventurous!

Now at Simarco International Ltd, she’s the first point of contact for the business, ensuring every call is handled professionally and directed to the right place so the wider team can stay focused. But her role goes far beyond the front desk. From managing stock and supplies to organising meetings, handling mail, supporting bookings, and even helping plan charity events in Stoke, she truly does it all.

Her secret sauce? Patience, positivity, and serious multitasking skills 💪

☕ Her day starts simply: log in, water bottle filled, and (most importantly) a cup of tea in hand.
🤝 What she loves most? The people. Whether it’s colleagues or visitors, she enjoys the daily interactions and a good laugh along the way.
🥜 Best work snack? A classic fruit and nut mix.

One of the most valuable lessons she’s picked up along the way has been navigating challenging conversations with empathy and professionalism, a skill that speaks volumes about her character and dedication.
